With strong success in international markets, the company is now entering Australia, and we are seeking a Managing Director to build and lead this market from the ground up.

The Opportunity
n
As Managing Director, you will establish and scale the Australian business, working closely with a global executive team across product, operations, and commercial functions.
n
You will bring deep expertise in the funding ecosystem and a strong understanding of how to navigate regulatory frameworks, structure capital partnerships, and position competitively in a dynamic market.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and execute the Australian market entry and growth strategy
n
Build a scalable lending and payments platform tailored to local market needs
n
Position the business competitively within the SME funding landscape
n
n
Capital & Partnerships
n
n
Structure and negotiate partnerships with institutional lenders, banks, and alternative capital providers
n
Develop and manage relationships with credit funds and funding partners
n
Establish sustainable capital strategies to support originations and growth
n
n
Regulation & Compliance
n
n
Navigate Australian regulatory requirements (e.g. ASIC, APRA where relevant)
n
Build and oversee robust compliance and risk frameworks
n
Stay ahead of regulatory changes impacting lending and fintech operations
n

Operations & Infrastructure
n




n
Build operational processes from first transaction through to scaled volume
n
Implement systems and workflows aligned with global technology platforms
n
Establish partnerships with banking, payments, and service providers
n

Leadership
n
n
Hire, lead, and develop a high-performing local team
n
Act as the senior representative of the business in Australia
n
Collaborate closely with global stakeholders to align strategy and execution
n

About You
n
n
Experience in SME lending, alternative finance, or fintech
n
Deep understanding of products such as revenue-based finance, invoice finance, or working capital solutions
n
Strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations and compliance frameworks
n
Proven track record in structuring capital partnerships and funding lines
n
Experience launching or scaling financial services businesses in new markets
n
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
n
Deep understanding of underwriting, credit risk, and portfolio management
n
