Job Description
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) provides operational and clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of high‐quality, safe, and person‐centred health services at Parkville Youth Justice Precinct, a 24/7 nurse‐led model within a youth custodial facility.

Responsibilities
n
n
Lead an experienced clinical nursing team to deliver person‐centred healthcare and health promotion.
n
Facilitate communities of practice, promote reflective practice, and implement workplace coaching interventions.
n
Ensure ongoing clinical competence by coordinating individual and team professional development activities.
n
Serve as the direct report to all nursing staff for leave and rostering, recruiting, induction, and orientation.
n
Assess data and trends relating to health presentations and demographic groups to monitor client outcomes and guide relevant quality‐improvement strategies.
n
Oversee daily operations, manage resources, and ensure effective coordination of care within the unit.

Qualifications
n
n
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse.
n
Knowledge of the Youth Justice System and understanding of restrictions, limitations, and considerations for healthcare delivery within this system.
n
Demonstrated high‐level communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Robust belief and personal alignment with cohealth Values and Mission.

Evidence of immunisation (including Influenza within 12 weeks of commencement) as required by Victorian health orders.
n
Successful applicants will be required to provide a satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), a Working With Children Check (WWCC), a completed Pre‐Employment Declaration Form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination.
