About the role:

We are seeking an experienced
Planner/Coordinator
Mechanical to join our Engineering team at Kestrel. Reporting to the Superintendent Infrastructure, this residential role is based on site and offers the flexibility of either a Monday to Friday or 9-day fortnight roster.
n

In this role, you will support Kestrel by:
n
n
Plan, schedule and coordinate mechanical maintenance, installation, repair and commissioning activities.
n
Provide safety leadership and ensure all work is completed in accordance with site procedures, statutory requirements and risk controls.
n
Deliver technical guidance and support on mechanical equipment, fault finding and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Coordinate the delivery of weekly work plans, shutdowns, projects and priority maintenance activities.
n
Manage contractors, suppliers and OEMs to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
n
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, maintenance strategies, legislative requirements and site expectations.
n
Coordinate labour, materials, tooling, equipment and permits to support efficient work execution.
n
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, operational performance and cost efficiency.
n
Communicate progress, risks, delays and performance outcomes with key stakeholders.
n
Coach, mentor and support tradespeople, supervisors and work crews to build capability and maintain high performance.
n

About you:
n
n
Demonstrated experience coordinating the installation and commissioning of mechanical infrastructure, with experience in conveyor installations highly regarded.
n
Strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management.
n
Experience managing maintenance, shutdown or infrastructure projects.
n
Well-developed analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
n
A proven ability to deliver outcomes while supporting broader business objectives.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across operational and technical teams.
n
Mining Supervisor competencies (G1, G2, G8 and G9), or the willingness to obtain them.
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
