As a consultant at Mahlab on a fixed term basis, you will be responsible for developing strategies for our clients. Working closely with the Head of Strategy, this role includes leading the strategy development process with the client and internally as well as leading multidisciplinary project teams to develop and deliver on strategy engagements.
n
You will identify opportunities for additional projects with existing clients and develop proposals to secure these opportunities. This will include identifying the problem that we are trying to solve, actively engaging the client in developing the opportunity and building out the project budget.

A day in the life could look like this:
n
n
Develop strategies that align with clients' business objectives, leveraging market insights and data.
n
Facilitate workshops, strategic planning sessions, or insight presentations with clients, alongside the Head of Strategy and other members of the Mahlab team.
n
Provide guidance on new approaches to meet client goals, challenging conventional thinking when necessary.
n
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact.
n
Deliver exceptional client service by deeply understanding client needs, priorities, and challenges
n
Provide strategic counsel that enhances client trust and positions Mahlab as a valuable partner.
n
Lead and coordinate internal and freelance teams to ensure strategies are understood and delivered to a high quality, on time and on budget.
n
Take ownership of project management, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
n
Review (and in some cases, conduct) qualitative, quantitative and desk research to identify key trends, insights, and opportunities for clients.
n




Leverage generative AI to gather insights to support the strategy development process.
n
n
The ideal person for this role will possess:
n
n
4+ years experience working in communications or a similar field.
n
2+ years delivering strategic consultancy.
n
Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Media Relations, Project Management or similar (advantageous).
n
A team player, capable of coordinating multiple stakeholders and projects at once and leading from the front.
n
Keen interest in exploring recent tools (such as generative AI) to expand capabilities and improve the strategy development process.
n
