Senior Database Infrastructure Engineer

Compas is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong database administration expertise to support a complex, specialised technology environment. This role will focus on the installation, configuration, testing, patching, administration, troubleshooting and performance tuning of a custom‐built pre‐release non‐relational database, while supporting migration activities, infrastructure stability and secure database operations.

n Contract Duration: 12 Months
n Security Clearance Requirement: Current NV1 clearance required

Essential Tasks
n
n
Administer database configuration, security, schema and objects in line with agreed standards.
n
Manage database software installations, upgrades,



patching and supported workplace currency.
n
Support migration activities, troubleshooting, performance tuning and system stability.
n
Implement access controls, data management processes and disaster recovery activities.
n
n
Key Criteria
n
n
Demonstrated experience administering complex database management systems.
n
Experience working in a highly specialised technical team environment.
n
Strong skills across Linux, RedHat, Ansible, OpenShift, OpenStack, GitLab and scripting.
n
Experience with M204, SOUL, IBM z/OS database/files management or non‐relational databases is desirable.
