MBA (Human Resources)- Recruitment Specialist - Substation Engineering & Design

We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer for Substations with HV detail design experience in a permanent role for our client who are an established but growing organisation in the Power Transmission & Distribution sector in Perth, WA.

Responsibilities
n
n
Take a hands‐on technical role and lead the detailed design delivery for major HV substation projects.
n
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met.
n
Coordinate with project teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
n
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the design phase.
n
Communicate project status, changes, and updates to clients regularly.
n
Ensure client requirements and specifications are clearly understood and incorporated into the design.
n
Provide technical guidance and support to the design team.
n
Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
n
Review and approve technical documents and drawings.
n
Liaise with equipment suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
n
Evaluate supplier proposals and select appropriate vendors based on project requirements.
n
Coordinate with suppliers to resolve any technical or delivery issues.
n




Implement and enforce quality control procedures during the design phase.
n
Conduct design reviews and audits to ensure high standards of quality.
n
Address any non‐conformities and implement corrective actions as necessary.
n
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
n
Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date project documentation.
n
Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
n

Required Experience
n
n
Previous experience working on substation projects is highly desirable.
n
Solid understanding of substation systems, equipment, and design standards.
n
Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
n
Proficiency in design software and tools relevant to project management.
n
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
n
Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making abilities.
n

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
