Asset Integrity Technician (NDT Level 2 – UT/MT, All Methods Considered)

LMATS Pty Ltd is a leading Australian provider of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), mechanical testing, metallurgical analysis, and inspection services across infrastructure and industrial sectors.

We are seeking an experiencedNDT Level 2 Technician to join our Melbourne team based in Williamstown.
n
This is a casual position offering consistent, ongoing work with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment for the right candidate. The role includes occasional travel throughout Victoria and interstate.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Perform NDT inspections (UT, MT) on various assets and components
n
Interpret results and ensure compliance with relevant standards
n
Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports
n
Work closely with engineers, clients, and project teams
n
Maintain strong safety and quality standards on site
n
About You
n
As an experienced NDT professional, you will carry out routine inspection, testing, calibration, and reporting activities both independently and as part of a team. Safety and quality will be at the forefront of everything you do.
n




You will be confident supervising trainees, supporting junior technicians, and representing LMATS professionally while on site. Building and maintaining solid client relationships is an important part of the role.

Some overtime and overnight travel will be required.

Job Requirements
n
ISO **** Level 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) (AINDT or PCN)
n
Certification in additional NDT methods will be highly regarded, including PAUT, ET, RT, PT, and VT
n
Minimum 4 years' industry experience
n
Experience working across construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects
n
Good understanding of Australian Standards and ISO requirements
n
Ability to work independently and manage your workload
n
Strong reporting, communication, and client-facing skills
n
