We are currently partnering with a leading global Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Owner / Operator and Investor that is expanding operations in Australia. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking to hire a Senior Analyst / Associate to join their team in Melbourne office.
n
This is a dynamic, cross-functional role that blends data analytics and financial modeling to support commercial strategy and investment decision-making. The successful candidate will contribute to asset performance analysis, market research, and tender support for new services, helping to drive the success of battery storage projects across Australia.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
-Conduct data analysis to evaluate market and asset performance.
n
-Support the preparation of investment models, commercial analyses, and financial reports.
n
-Automate data collection and manipulation processes, including API scraping and cleaning.
n
-Develop and maintain tools in Python to analyze operational and financial data.
n
-Prepare and present insightful reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
n
-Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders including market operators, developers, and financial institutions.
n
-Support tenders for new services and strategic initiatives within the Australian energy market.
n
-Contribute to strategy development and decision-making through data-driven insights.
n
Qualifications and Skills
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
Proven ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
n
Proficiency in Python
n
Experience with data scraping and API integration.
n
Strong capabilities in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
n




Solid background in financial modelling and commercial analysis.
n
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
