As a Workers Compensation Specialist, you will be part of the Workplace Risk team working with a diverse range of clients and industries, efficiently managing workers compensation claims and injury management.
n
Acting as a liaison between clients and insurers you will have the ability to interact and empathise with customers whilst demonstrating your assertiveness to enable the efficient and accurate handling of claims.
n
With excellent negotiation and influencing skills, you will confidently liaise with insurers and third parties and have a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships, always striving for the best outcome for our clients.
n
You will play an important part in developing consulting, analytics, and placement skills while contributing to new business opportunities through professional networks and direct client engagement.

Your day to day
n
n
Effectively manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims from end-to-end, with a focus on achieving sustainable outcomes.
n
Acting as a liaison between clients and insurers to facilitate the efficient and accurate handling of claims and to achieve fair and prompt settlements.
n
Investigating and gathering relevant information regarding workplace incidents and accidents to support claim processing.
n
Interacting and empathising with customers to understand their position and deliver the best outcomes.
n
Providing advice to employers to ensure effective understanding and application of injury management and return to work processes and procedures.
n
Deliver outsourced injury management services to select clients, facilitating structured return-to-work programs, medical liaison, and proactive case management tailored to client needs.

Monitoring the progress of claims and providing regular updates to clients, the general insurance team, and insurers, on the status and resolution.
n
Develop and apply consulting skills to identify and address clients' risk and safety needs.
n
Provide risk analytics, benchmarking reports, and participate in cross-selling related services that improve client outcomes.
n

What we're looking for

Proven workers compensation experience within an insurance brokerage or insurer environment.
n
Good understanding of workers compensation laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
n
Strong data management, analytical, and reporting skills.
n
