Role: Senior Estimator
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare and deliver tender submissions for building projects.
n
Work closely with internal and external clients.
n
Build up costs for traditional trades (groundwork, brickwork, joinery, etc.).
n
Identify opportunities for value engineering and achieve best value prime cost.
n
Be commercially aware of the contractual implications of common forms of contract.
n
Work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently.
n
Develop and maintain supply chain relationships and with operational teams.
n

Requirements
n
n
Previous work as an Estimator, Assistant Estimator, or Senior Estimator.
n
Experience tendering for building projects.
n
Aware of current market prices for construction work.
n
Sound technical knowledge of the construction process.
n




Ability to work closely with internal and external clients.
n
Commercial awareness of contractual implications of common contract forms.
n
Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
n
Ability to build up costs for traditional trades (groundwork, brickwork, joinery, etc.).
n
Ideally proven track record of established supply chain relationships with operational teams.
n
Ability to identify opportunities for value engineering and achieve best value prime cost.
n
Relevant industry qualification.
n
Main Contractor employment history is essential.
n

Remuneration
n
n
£55,000 – £70,000 basic (dependent on experience).
n
Car or allowance.
n
Healthcare.
n
Pension (very competitive).

Bonus x 2 per year (guaranteed, boosts package by approx. 10%).
