Job Description
Mercy Community is seeking a strong clinical leader to join the team in Rockhampton!
n
This is a key leadership role supporting the Facility Manager and providing clinical oversight, team guidance and accountability for resident care outcomes.
n
If you are an experienced Registered Nurse who understands aged care reform, AN-ACC, compliance and real clinical leadership.
n
About the Role
n
The Care Manager supports the Facility Manager in the overall accountability for clinical governance, quality and resident outcomes across the home.
n
You will:
n
n
Provide hands-on clinical leadership and oversight
n
Ensure care plans, assessments and documentation are compliant and meaningful
n
Oversee risk areas including wounds, falls, medication, nutrition, hydration and continence
n
Support SIRS management and incident response
n
Prepare the home for audits and accreditation activity
n
Coach, guide and hold nursing and care staff accountable
n
Support a strong, positive and safe clinical culture
n
n
This role is suited to someone who is confident, calm under pressure and capable of leading through change.
n
About You
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
Strong experience in residential aged care
n
Demonstrated knowledge of AN-ACC, accreditation and aged care reform
n
Experience leading and developing clinical teams
n
Confidence in managing audits, documentation and regulatory compliance
n
Strong communication skills with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams
n
A proactive approach to risk management and quality improvement
n
