Job Description
As the Facilities Officer for Austal Defence Australia (ADA), you'll be responsible for supporting the effective day to day operation, maintenance, compliance and presentation. The role assists in coordinating maintenance activities, contractor access, workplace services, facility inspections, safety initiatives and administrative functions to ensure facilities remain safe, compliant, reliable and operationally effective.

What's Involved
n

Support the day to day operation of Austal Defence facilities
n
Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance or operational issues
n
Assist in ensuring facilities remain safe, functional and it for purpose
n
Raise, monitor, coordinate and close maintenance work order requests
n
Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities
n
Assist in coordinating contractors and service providers undertaking facilities related work
n
Verify contract access requirements, permits, inductions and documentation
n
Conduct routine facility inspections and condition assessments, identifying defects, hazards and maintenance requirements
n
Maintain accurate records of facility assets alongside the Asset Management Administrator
n




Coordinate waste management services and contractor activities
n
Support emergency resource planning and evacuation activities as required
n
n
You'll Need
n
n
10+ years' experience in shipbuilding, fabrication, maritime, oil and gas, mining or similar, including 5+ years leading and working within a multi-disciplinary
facilities/maintenance/utilities
team
n
Experience working with contractors and service providers
n
Experience coordinating maintenance activities and service requests
n
Exposure using computerised maintenance system (CMMS) or similar
n
Knowledge in facilities services delivery, asset lifecycle management and maintenance planning
n
Proven track record in managing daily facilities operations, main
n
Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance
