About your new team
n
The Centre for Population Genomics (CPG) is a joint initiative of the Murdoch Children's Research Institute and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, bringing together leading experts in genomics, data science and clinical research. As a remote-first, nationally distributed team, CPG is driving a more equitable future for genomic medicine through innovative research that improves health outcomes for communities across Australia and beyond.

What you'll do
n
n
Coordinate the end-to-end sample-to-data pipeline, ensuring high-quality genomic datasets are delivered on time.
n
Partner with internal teams and external sequencing providers to deliver seamless data generation.
n
Monitor sequencing outputs,
troubleshoot quality issues and drive continuous process improvements.
n
Maintain accurate metadata, LIMS records and documentation to safeguard data integrity and traceability.
n
Collaborate with genomics, software engineering and project teams to support critical research milestones.
n

What you'll bring
n
n
Master's degree (or higher) in Genomics, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Science, Data Science or a related discipline.
n
Minimum 3 years' experience coordinating genomics, scientific or data-driven projects.
n
Demonstrated experience managing biological samples through to genomic datasets, including large-scale data integration workflows.
n
Strong technical capability with LIMS, metadata management and project management tools (e.g. Jira, Trello or Slack), with the ability to collaborate effectively across laboratory, software engineering and scientific teams.
n
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive high-quality outcomes independently.
