Job Description
Contract: 12 months + 12-month extension option
n Location: Multiple locations (Hybrid - minimum 3 days/week onsite)
n Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline

The opportunity
n
We're looking for an APS6 DevOps Engineer to uplift CI/CD, automation and observability across enterprise platforms. You'll work in a modern delivery environment where reliability, deployment quality, and fast feedback loops matter-supporting teams to release safely and consistently.

What you'll do (DevOps focus)
n
n
Build, improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines
(build/test/deploy)
with a focus on reliability and repeatability
n
Drive deployment automation and reduce manual release overhead
n
Implement and maintain monitoring dashboards and operational metrics (performance, availability, user metrics)
n
Troubleshoot pipeline and environment issues; improve incident resolution through better tooling and automation
n
Develop scripts/tools to streamline engineering workflows and reduce operational toil
n
Support API delivery and integration with engineering tooling (GitLab)
n
n
Must-have skills
n
n
Strong hands-on experience with GitLab including GitLab CI/CD in an enterprise environment (pipelines, runners, build/deploy, monitoring)
n
Strong DevOps capability across CI/CD, automation, deployment,
monitoring/observability
n
Commercial experience with Node.js + TypeScript
n
Python experience
(automation/scripting
and/or backend)
n
Experience with Jira and modern developer tooling (e.g., VS Code)
n
Transparent communicator-able to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders
n
n
Nice to have
n
n
GitLab pipeline optimisation and governance (templates, reusable components, quality gates)
n
Experience with advanced automation approaches (e.g., intelligent CI/CD workflows)
