We are seeking an experienced Engineer who is familiar with assessing development applications to join the Development Assessments Team as a Development Assessment Engineering Officer.
n
In this role you will review and assess development applications for council, providing administrative support and technical expertise relating to drainage and flooding, helping to shape the build setting.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assess development application referrals relating to drainage and flooding
n
Provide administrative support to the Drainage Development Assessment team
n
Liaise with internal and external customers regarding development applications
n
Monitor, record and action all incoming development application referrals
n
Complete assigned Technology 1 and CM9 tasks to a high standard and within required timeframes
n




Manage correspondence and documentation within service level frameworks
n
Maintain record management in accordance with Council's procedures
n
Contribute to Council's engineering specifications and processes relating to development assessment
n

Requirements
n
n
Degree in Civil Engineering
n
Proven experience assessing development applications
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflict and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes
n
Demonstrated commitment to customer service and collaborative teamwork
n
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
n
Demonstrated skills in corporate systems including Technology 1, CM9 and GIS
n
Excellent time management, attention to detail and the ability to manage a high workload with minimal supervision
