About the Role
n
MSS Security is seeking a Part‐Time Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at Ballina Airport. As an Aviation Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff and airport operations.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Conduct security screening of passengers, staff, and visitors
n
Operate screening equipment and security technology, including X‐ray machines, metal detectors, and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems
n
Perform passenger, staff, visitor, and baggage screening to identify prohibited items,



dangerous goods, and security threats
n
Monitor and patrol airport facilities, reporting and responding to security incidents, breaches, and potential risks
n
n
Requirements
n
n
Full Australian working rights
n
Strong communication and customer service skills
n
Ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing)
n
24/7 availability required
n
Master licence – *********
