Corporate Accountant

Our client is a multinational sustainable energy investment group with operations across the globe, whose portfolio includes onshore wind, solar photovoltaic, solar thermal and transmission and distribution line technologies.
n
They are currently seeking a Corporate Accountant to join their high performing team in Sydney, Australia. The ideal candidate will be Big Four/Top 10 audit trained, technically adept, and able to deal with complex IFRS/technical accounting issues.
n
Reporting to: Finance Director
n
Salary: A$100,000 – A$120,000 per annum + bonus & wider perks
n
Location: Sydney, Australia - WFH options offered (2 days per week)
n
Responsibilities:
n
n
Production of annual consolidated and stand‐alone financial statements in accordance with IFRS
n
Liaising with external auditors and preparation of audit support schedules and working papers
n
Researching technical accounting issues and preparation of accounting memos for non‐routine commercial transactions
n
Preparation of parts of the quarterly management report and providing commentaries to management
n




Assisting with group budgeting and forecasting
n
Preparation of additional supporting schedules for reviews and providing explanations and analysis to support key stakeholders
n
Maintenance and quarterly uploading of the Company's lease, depreciation, deferred charges, interest accruals and other accounting schedules
n
Researching technical accounting issues and preparation of file notes and accounting memos for non‐routine commercial transactions (depending on experience)
n
n
Skills required:
n
n
Qualified Accountant (CPA/ACCA) or equivalent
n
Audit experience with a Big 4/Top 10 accounting firm is essential
n
Personal drive to succeed and an ability to prioritise tasks effectively so as to meet the goals of the finance department within agreed deadlines
n
Positive written and verbal communication skills
n
Attention to detail and ability to review own work
n
