Data Engineer Analyst (Fabric, Power BI) – Perth
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
n
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and store data from multiple sources.
n
Create and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and data visualizations.
n
Translate business requirements into meaningful analytics and reporting solutions.
n
Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver reliable data and reporting solutions.
n
Implement data processing solutions across batch and near-real-time use cases.
n
Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across data platforms and reporting solutions.
n
Support cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, lakehouses, and data warehouses.
n
Apply data security, privacy, Row-Level Security (RLS), and access control requirements across data and reporting solutions.
n
Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline, data quality, and Power BI performance issues.
n
Contribute to automation, monitoring, governance, and continuous improvement of data engineering and BI practices.
n

Qualifications
n
n
Demonstrated experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or data-focused engineering roles.
n




Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Factory, Data Warehouse, and analytics workloads.
n
Hands‐on expertise in Power BI development, including dashboards, reports, data modelling, DAX, and semantic models.
n
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and analytical data platforms.
n
Proficiency in ETL/ELT development and data pipeline orchestration.
n
Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and large-scale datasets.
n
Experience with cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Synapse, or equivalent.
n
Familiarity with dimensional modelling, Star Schema, and performance optimization techniques.
n
Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Power BI governance best practices.
n
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data and analytics solutions.
n
Solid analytical, problem‐solving, stakeholder management, and troubleshooting skills.
n

This role is based in Perth, Western Australia. Candidates currently based in Perth or willing to relocate to Perth are encouraged to apply. Australian Citizens are highly preferred; Australian Permanent Residents (PR holders) will also be considered.
