is seeking an experienced
Senior Design Engineer
to join a leading geotechnical engineering contractor based in
Melbourne, VIC
. This is a great opportunity to work on major piling and ground improvement projects while providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and review geotechnical and structural designs.
Support tenders, estimates, and project delivery.
Carry out design analysis and numerical modelling.
Provide technical support to project teams.
Mentor and guide junior engineers.
Ensure designs meet Australian Standards and client requirements.
Build solid relationships with clients and stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
7–10+ years of geotechnical design experience.
Strong background in piling, foundations, or ground improvement.
Experience using Plaxis, WALLAP,



RAPT, ADSEC, or similar software.
Knowledge of Australian Standards.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Professional Engineer status or ability to obtain registration in Australia is preferred.
