Role Overview

Mechanical Fitter at Ulan Underground Mine. Report to Shift Supervisor. Drive performance through maintenance of underground mining equipment.

Responsibilities
n
n
Safely and effectively operate and maintain underground mining equipment and other heavy machinery to meet required standards and quality.
n
Effectively manage risks associated with maintenance activities.
n
Carry out planned maintenance and scheduling.
n
Attend to breakdowns and apply suitable fault‐finding strategies.
n
Collaborate with engineering and production personnel to achieve safety and performance outcomes.
n

Qualifications
n
n
Mechanical Trade Qualification.
n




Strong safety focus with sound understanding of risk management and protected work procedures.
n
Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
n
Previous experience working underground (preferably coal).
n
