Consultant Paediatrician – Coastal Regional VIC

We are currently seeking a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician to join a regional health service located in a beautiful part of coastal Victoria. This is a unique opportunity to work within a busy and well-supported paediatric department, servicing a diverse regional community.

Role
n
In this role, you will join a collegiate team of paediatric specialists providing high-quality care across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and community settings. The service has:
n
n
A Level 4 Obstetrics unit with approximately 430 births annually
n
A Level 3 Special Care Nursery
n
Around 650 general paediatric admissions per year
n
Over 16,000 ED presentations, with around 25% being paediatric cases
n
A well-established community paediatric clinic running five days per week
n
Outreach consulting services provided to surrounding areas
n
n
You'll work alongside up to four Consultant Paediatricians, a Paediatric Registrar (Advanced Trainee), and a HMO,



with strong links to regional referral services.
n
About You
n
To be considered, you must:
n
n
Hold current registration with AHPRA (or eligibility to obtain)
n
Be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatrics
n
Have extensive experience in general paediatrics across both community and hospital settings
n
Be confident in neonatal resuscitation and general neonatology
n
n
Internationally trained applicants are welcome to apply, provided they have completed their RACP assessment and received the outcome.
