An opportunity for an Area Sales Manager - HV, Distribution Utilities has presented, and this is a rare chance for you to join this well-established team in Australia due to the recent retirement of a key member of the senior sales team.

How you will make an impact
n
n
Act as the Subject Matter Expert with Power Utilities, EPCs, OEMs, in leading the sales phase from opportunity to closure.
n
Oversee the technical and commercial discussions and negotiations with the customers providing power product solutions.
n
Participate in detailed briefings with customers on technical, contractual, and commercial content of proposals, providing information on the risk review process.
n
Prepare and support preparation of comprehensive technical and commercial tenders based on customer specification requirements
n




Guide the respective proposal teams and internal partners in preparation of the proposals.
n
Deliver demonstrations and technical meetings/webinars with the customers to showcase the clients' HV products and solutions.
n
Help develop, plan and implement a regional sales/business strategy for the Distribution Utilities Business Unit.
n
Conduct risk mitigation, evaluate market conditions, gather market intelligence, prepare market plans, sales forecasts, and reports.
n
Increases existing sales by implementing sales strategies to develop new business opportunities and continuously improves sales processes.

Your background
n
n
Degree in electrical engineering, or similar related field.
n
8 years plus experience with a high-level understanding of the electrical engineering industry and strong technical knowledge of High Voltage Distribution and Power, i.e. Switchgear Power Products.
n
Candidates who can demonstrate a sound technical background in electrical engineering i.e. you may be an electrical project engineer who is looking for a step up in their career. You may be a consideration depending on your work experience and technical knowledge in this sector.
n




Essential is experience of working in the Australian market with proven relationships of working with Utilities, EPCs, DSO and other related clients.
n
Self-motivated and can work autonomously with demonstrated consulting and sales skills.
n
First class communication skills along with interpersonal and negotiation skills with high commercial and business acumen.
n
If you have worked in a large, matrix structure organisation, you will transition well into this role.
n
You must have full working rights in Australia
