The Role
n
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and validating critical data and system integrations that underpin the organisation's data and analytics capabilities.
n
Your other responsibilities will include:
n
n
Designing and executing test plans, test cases and scripts focused on data validation, system integration and reporting accuracy.
n
Performing hands‐on testing across SQL Server, SAP HANA, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI environments.
n
Investigating data discrepancies through SQL queries, conducting root‐cause analysis, and collaborating with developers and data engineers to resolve issues.
n
Supporting the data replatforming program by validating data transformations and reconciliations between legacy and new systems.
n
Executing both manual and automated tests across applications, APIs, and data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
n
Contributing to continuous improvement of QA practices and supporting the evolution of data quality assurance standards.

About You
n
In order to be a successful applicant, you will bring a strong foundation in data testing and a hands‐on approach to quality assurance within complex data environments.
n
You will also have:
n
n
Proven experience in SQL‐based testing, with the ability to write and troubleshoot complex queries.
n
Experience validating data pipelines, data models, and transformations across multiple environments.
n
Exposure to testing front‐end reporting tools such as Power BI (Web Intelligence experience highly regarded).
n
Robust analytical and problem‐solving skills with a proactive, detail‐oriented mindset.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in agile teams.
n
An interest in evolving toward test automation in the future, though with a current focus on manual and data‐centric testing.
n
Be part of a growing QA function within a supportive and collaborative data engineering team.
n
Work on enterprise‐scale data and reporting transformation projects using leading technologies.
