Mpower is a well-established, accredited not-for-profit community-based organisation servicing South West Victoria. Established in ****, the operation of Mpower has grown from a small voluntary service to an accredited agency employing more than100staff, providing a range of clinical and support services to over **** families regionally.Mpower now provides a range of disability services and community services and we specialising in supporting children, young people and families reaching their full potential.

About the Role
n
As a Support Worker, you will provide safe, consistent and person-centred support across our Residential Care and Disability Services programs.
n
Depending on your skills, experience and availability, you may work across one or both service areas.
n
Your responsibilities may include:
n
n
Supporting children and young people in Residential Care homes
n
Providing disability support across Supported Independent Living (SIL), individual supports and community-based programs
n
Assisting with daily living tasks, routines and skill development
n
Supporting social inclusion, community participation and independence
n
Building positive and respectful relationships
n
Responding to behaviours of concern using therapeutic and person-centred approaches
n
Completing accurate documentation and case notes
n
Working across a 24/7 roster, including evenings, weekends, sleepovers, active nights and public holidays as required
n
This is a hands-on role that requires confidence, adaptability and a genuine commitment to supporting others.

About You
n

n
Strong communicators who work collaboratively within a team
n
Calm, consistent and professional when responding to challenging situations
n
Committed to person-centred and trauma-informed practice
n

Highly regarded
n
n
Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention
n
Certificate III in Individual Support
n
Certificate IV in Disability
n
Experience in Residential Care, Youth Work, Disability Support or Community Services
n
Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and behaviour support approaches
n
n
