Credit Analyst - 12 Month fixed term contract

$120K plus Super and Bonus

Our client is a fast‐growing non‐bank lender with a strong and diverse mortgage offering across residential and commercial segments. With continued expansion and a commitment to high‐quality credit outcomes, they are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join their credit team in Sydney, to cover parental leave for a 12 month fixed term contract.

About the Role
n
As a Credit Analyst, you will assess and decision loan applications across a broad portfolio, applying strong analytical judgement and ensuring alignment with credit policy and risk appetite. You'll manage a busy pipeline, work closely with brokers and internal teams, and play a key role in delivering a seamless customer experience from application through to approval.

Key Responsibilities
n

Assess and decision loan applications in line with credit policy and risk frameworks
n
Manage a pipeline of applications and deliver timely, high‐quality decisions
n
Apply strong analytical judgement to complex borrower scenarios
n
Ensure compliance with NCCP, Responsible Lending,
AML/CTF and internal risk standards
n
Communicate credit decisions clearly to brokers and internal stakeholders
n
Collaborate with Sales, Credit Support, Settlements and Collections to resolve scenarios
n
Provide coaching and guidance to junior and mid‐level analysts
n
Contribute to process improvement and capability uplift across the credit team
n
n
About You
n
n
5 years' experience in financial services, in mortgage lending within a non‐bank or specialist environment
n
Strong technical capability in credit assessment and financial analysis
n
Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast‐paced environment
n
Excellent communication skills and solid stakeholder engagement
n
High attention to detail and strong risk judgement
n
Collaborative, proactive and comfortable challenging the status quo
n
Confident using digital systems and adaptable to new tools
n
n
