About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Family Lawyer (Senior Associate or Special Counsel) with 5+ years' PAE to join this close-knit and collaborative team. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of family law matters, including divorce, property settlements, child custody and complex financial arrangements.

This role is ideally full-time, though adaptable part-time arrangements (such as 4 days or school hours across 4–5 days) can be accommodated for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Providing expert legal advice to clients on all aspects of family law
n
Representing clients in court proceedings and negotiations
n
Drafting legal documents such as financial agreements, parenting plans and consent orders




n
Managing a varied caseload and delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines
n
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clientsMentoring and supporting more junior members of the legal team
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
5+ years' post-admission experience in family law, ideally including time spent in a reputable family law firm/team
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise with clients during sensitive matters
n
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with experience representing clients in court
n
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage a diverse caseload
n
Commitment to continuing professional development and staying up-to-date with changes in family law
n
Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to contribute to the growth and development of the family law practice
n
