About the role
n
Our West Metals business continues to grow, and we're looking to bring on experienced MCU Operators to join our high performing blasting team, based out of Adelaide.
n
In this role, you'll operate Mobile Charging Units across various underground customer sites, playing a critical part in the protected manufacture, delivery, and charging of explosives.
n
You'll be supported by a strong safety culture, proven systems, and a team that takes pride in delivering quality outcomes every day.
n

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

What you will be doing
n
n
First and foremost, demonstrating and setting the example of our key company value: 'Safety is our Priority, Always';
n
Safe operation of underground Mobile Charge Unit manufacturing and delivery of explosives.
n
Conducting routine inspections and performing minor maintenance of fixed and mobile plants.
n
Assisting with the training and mentoring of new team members;
n
Working in tight unison with the Drill and Blast Team.
n
At all times acting with integrity and respect.
n

What you will bring
n
n
A Heavy Rigid Vehicle License;
n




Underground mining experience in any field (Highly Regarded)
n
Must be able to obtain a Dangerous goods license, blasters license and security card;
n
Strong commitment to safety;
n
Ability to commit to FIFO / shift work;
n
Proven experience within a mechanical environment or a similar industry preferred;
n
The ability to work autonomously and be part of a high performing team.
