The Head of Middle School provides visionary leadership for students in Years 5-9, fostering a culture of kindness, care, respect,

excellence. The roleis responsible forthe strategic leadership of teaching,
learning,wellbeingand
pastoral care across the Middle School, ensuring students thrive
academically,sociallyand
emotionally within a child-safe environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
n
Lead and develop a positive Middle School culture that reflects the values of kindness, care, respect,
integrity,inclusionand
excellence.
n
Provide strategic direction and oversight of the Middle School
curriculum,programsand
student experience.
n
Mentor, coach and support teaching staff to ensurehigh qualityteaching and learning practices.
n
Work collaboratively with school leaders to ensure a cohesive educational journey across theSchool.
n
Build solid and positive relationships with
students,parentsand
the wider school community.
n
Support student wellbeing, pastoralcareand restorative practices that strengthen relationships and engagement.
n
Lead school improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic planning and future growth of theSchool.
n
Promote innovative and contemporary teaching approaches that caterfordiverse learning needs.
n
Contribute to the co-curricular life of theSchool.
n

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
n
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and learning across Years 5-9.

Proven success in a senior leadership role.

Strong understanding of curriculum leadership,
studentwellbeingand
pastoral care.
n
Excellent
communication,collaborationand




team development skills.
n
Experience building positive school culture and community engagement.
n
Up-to-date knowledge of contemporary educational theory and practice.
