Job Description
This is a solid chance for a Corporate Energy Lawyer looking to consolidate their experience in genuinely high-end transactional work and take the next step within a market-leading energy and infrastructure practice.
n
The role sits within a growing corporate and projects team working across complex M&A;, joint ventures, privatisations, PPPs and major commercial arrangements in the energy, infrastructure and resources sectors. Matters regularly involve renewables, utilities, digital and telco infrastructure and large-scale projects, often with a cross-border dimension. The work is sophisticated and transaction-led, with real depth rather than volume-driven repetition.
n
You will work in lean, senior-heavy deal teams, giving you early responsibility and meaningful exposure to how transactions are structured, negotiated and delivered. The team operates on a trust-based model, you will be expected to run workstreams, manage documents and contribute to deal strategy, with Partners closely involved and accessible rather than layered above you.
n
Development, mentoring and progression are treated as part of the role, not an add-on.
Partners are highly collaborative and hands-on, with a strong focus on coaching junior lawyers through complex issues, client interaction and commercial judgment. You will learn directly from experienced practitioners while also building confidence in client-facing work and cross-office collaboration.
n
This role will suit a lawyer with 2-4 years' PQE in corporate transactions, M&A; or projects. Experience in energy, infrastructure or renewables is advantageous, but strong general corporate or corporate-commercial experience combined with a genuine interest in the sector will also be well regarded.
n
Flexible and hybrid working is well embedded, and the environment is professional, supportive and performance-focused without unnecessary rigidity. As you progress, there are opportunities to deepen your experience through cross-office work and international secondments, providing exposure that meaningfully broadens your practice rather than duplicating what you already know.
