About the Role

This role focuses on the presales and product management of Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Video Intercom systems in the Australian market. The ideal candidate will act as a key link between headquarters and the local market, supporting business growth through product localization, go-to-market planning, and customer-facing presales activities.

Responsibilities
n
n
Product Lifecycle Managementn
n
Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for Access Control, Intrusion, and Intercom systems.
n
Align local product roadmap with HQ strategy and Australian market needs.
n
Drive new product introductions, monitor performance, and manage phase-out transitions.
n
n
Market Demand and Opportunity Identificationn
n
Identify market trends, customer behaviour, and industry developments.
n
Collect and analyse client requirements to support product refinement and localisation.
n
Explore and define new product opportunities through market insights and competitive analysis.
n




Collaborate with sales and technical teams to provide presales support, including solution design, feature explanation, and proposal assistance.
n
Assist in customer meetings, technical discussions, and proof-of-concept engagements.
n
Support tender responses and technical documentation preparation.
n
n
Marketing & Enablementn
n
Develop localised marketing materials and product documentation.
n
Organise product launches, webinars, and promotional events to increase market visibility.
n
Deliver product training to internal teams and partners to strengthen product understanding and sales capability.
n
n
Cross-functional Collaborationn
n
Coordinate with HQ R&D;, marketing, and supply chain teams to align on product delivery and improvement plans.
n
Gather feedback from local sales and technical teams for product enhancement and future planning.
n
n
Business Support & Data Analysisn
n
Analyse product performance and business data to identify issues and optimisation opportunities.
n
Assist in setting product-related goals, pricing strategies, and business forecasts.
n
Drive the adoption of intelligent access and intercom technologies,



aiming to make Hikvision's non-video products mainstream in Australia within 3 years.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience – Essential
n
n
Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Electronics,
Telecommunications,
or related fields.
n
At least 3 years of experience in product management, presales, technical support, or marketing in the security or tech industry.
n
Solid understanding of Access Control, Intercom, or Intrusion systems is preferred.
n
Strong learning ability and desire to grow into a subject matter expert in non-video product lines.
n
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
n
Fluent in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
n
Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally overseas.
n
n
Qualifications, Skills & Experience – Desirable

Project management experience and familiarity with product marketing.
