Role Overview:
n
As a Senior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating detailed design projects for telecommunications Recoverable Works/Asset Relocations. Based in Queensland, your expertise will drive the end-to-end development of network designs, ensuring excellence in deliverables and fostering constructive stakeholder engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Lead the design process for telecommunication carrier asset relocations and network details, primarily in Queensland.
n
Ensure design accuracy and constructability, maintaining high standards in deliverables.
n
Provide comprehensive impact assessments, including budget forecasting and construction methodologies.
n
Consult and collaborate with project stakeholders on design and construction matters.
n
Manage project variations effectively, coordinating between carriers, project owners, and construction partners.
n
Conduct field surveys, ensuring professional reporting and alignment with specific contract requirements.
n




Able to perform occasional project surveillance (during construction) on behalf of asset owners.
n
Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel.
n

Qualifications & Experience: (All applicants must adhere to the requirements below)
n
n
Have the legal rights to work in Australia.
n
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in
Telecommunications,
Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred but not mandatory with proven experience).
n
Minimum 5 years of experience in Telecommunication design and/or network construction
n
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 202x , with experience in telecommunications construction designs. Able to incorporate existing and future construction data within detailed design
n
Solid knowledge of Optical Fibre, Copper technologies. Well versed on developing detailed design in Brownfields asset relocation and recoverable works.
n
Willingness to undertake asset validation tasks which includes working in manholes/pits and telecom exchanges.
n
Familiarity with internal fibre networking, rack installation, and fit-out.
n
Familiarity of Telstra/NBN PNI systems and other databases with at least 3 years experience.
n
Must be eligible for Australian Federal Police clearance and able to obtain carrier security clearances
