As demand continues to increase, they're looking for a motivated and relationship-focused Business Development Representative to help expand market reach, develop new business opportunities, and strengthen long-term customer relationships across the Victorian market.

This opportunity is ideally suited to someone with 1-3 years' experience within the building and construction industry who is looking to step into a more client-facing commercial role, take ownership of their own customers, and build a long-term career in sales.

The Opportunity

You'll inherit an established portfolio of customers, providing a strong foundation from day one, while also taking ownership of developing new business opportunities across Melbourne and Victoria.

With the Victorian market continuing to grow, you'll spend plenty of time out on the road meeting customers face-to-face, strengthening existing relationships, identifying new opportunities, and helping expand the company's market presence.
n
The business isn't looking for a pushy salesperson. They're looking for someone who understands the importance of trust, consistency, and genuine relationship-building.

You'll receive extensive hands-on training and support, while also being given the autonomy and accountability to manage your own territory, develop your customer base, and make a genuine impact on the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow an established portfolio of customers
n
Develop new business opportunities across Melbourne and regional Victoria
n




Build solid relationships with builders, contractors, developers, and other industry stakeholders
n
Conduct regular customer visits and site meetings
n
Identify opportunities to increase market share and drive brand awareness
n
Generate sales opportunities through networking, referrals, and proactive business development activity
n
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and customer engagement planWork collaboratively with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
n
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity reporting
n
n
About You
n
n
1-3 years' experience within the building and construction industry
n
Exposure to building materials, construction products, manufacturing, trades, or a related sector
n
Experience in a customer-facing role such as internal sales, trade sales, customer service, account management, estimating, project coordination, or similar
n
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
Organised, process-driven, and capable of managing your time effectively
n
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
n
Comfortable working autonomously and spending time on the road meeting customers
n
A genuine desire to build a long-term career in sales and business development
n
Mandarin language skills highly regarded but not essential
n
n
Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys developing genuine relationships and understands that long-term success comes from consistently delivering value to customers.
