Job Description
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance executive to join a leading global real assets investment manager in a senior leadership capacity.

Reporting directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer, the Head of Finance – Direct Property will lead a high-performing team of eight and assume responsibility for the financial management and execution of a diverse Australian property platform comprising listed REITs, unlisted property funds and the Australian Management Company.

This is a highly visible role partnering closely with the Executive Leadership Team, investment professionals and offshore stakeholders. The successful candidate will provide commercial and strategic financial leadership while ensuring best-in-class financial reporting, governance and operational excellence across a complex institutional investment platform.

Key Responsibilities
n

Lead, mentor and develop a finance team of eight, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
n
Oversee all finance, accounting and reporting activities across three listed REITs, two unlisted property funds and the Australian Management Company.
n
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting and statutory compliance.
n
Deliver high-quality management reporting, financial analysis and performance insights to support strategic decision making.
n
Partner with senior executives, investment teams and offshore stakeholders to provide commercial financial support across the portfolio.
n
Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
n




Support acquisitions, divestments, capital transactions and broader strategic initiatives.
n
Manage banking relationships, debt facility reporting and treasury oversight.
n
Oversee tax compliance, tax planning and engagement with external advisers.
n
Maintain robust governance, internal controls and risk management frameworks.
n
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisers and other skilled service providers.
n
Drive finance transformation initiatives, leveraging technology, automation and AI to improve efficiency and enhance reporting capabilities.

Build strong relationships across the broader business to ensure finance is viewed as a trusted commercial partner.

About You
n
You are an accomplished finance leader with extensive experience within institutional property, real estate funds management or listed investment vehicles. You possess strong commercial acumen, exceptional stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams within complex investment environments.

You are equally comfortable operating strategically while maintaining oversight of technical financial reporting, governance and compliance.

Skills & Experience
n
n




CA or CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
n
10+ years' experience in senior finance leadership roles.
n
Demonstrated experience within property funds management, REITs, real estate investment or broader asset management.
n
Strong understanding of listed entity reporting, fund structures and institutional investment platforms.
n
Proven experience leading large finance functions and developing high-performing teams.
n
Experience supporting acquisitions, divestments and strategic corporate transactions.
n
Excellent technical accounting, tax, governance and financial control knowledge.
n
Outstanding communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
n
Strong commercial mindset with the ability to influence senior executives and investment professionals.
