My client is an Australian technology company developing advanced software-driven systems for complex real-world applications. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a Software Integration Engineer to join a highly team-oriented engineering team responsible for delivering cutting-edge software solutions from development through to deployment.

The Role
n
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in developing and integrating software within a complex, multidisciplinary engineering environment. Working closely with Software, Systems, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, you'll help deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that are deployed into customer applications.

Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Developing high-quality software using C/C++ within Linux-based environments.
n
Designing, integrating and validating software across complex hardware and software platforms.
n
Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
n
Debugging, testing and optimising software to ensure reliability and performance.
n
Supporting system integration activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
n
Contributing to software architecture, technical problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Assisting with deployment, commissioning and technical support activities when required.
n
Working within Agile development methodologies and contributing to engineering best practice.
n
n
Your Background
n
To be successful in this role,



you will possess:
n
n
A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics or a related discipline.
n
At least 3 years' experience developing software within an embedded or systems engineering environment.
n
Strong programming skills in C/C++.
n
Experience developing software within Linux environments.
n
Experience using Git or other version control systems.
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical engineering solutions.
n
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
n
n
Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:
n
n
Embedded software or systems integration.
n
Robotics, industrial automation, automotive, aerospace or other advanced technology industries.
n
Communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI or I2C.
n
Python, Docker, ROS/ROS2 or MATLAB/Simulink.
n
Working with complex electro-mechanical products or intelligent systems.
n
Customer-facing integration, commissioning or field support.
n
