At Avina, we're a national allied health and behaviour support organisation supporting communities across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.
With a team of 400+ clinicians, we deliver Speech Pathology alongside Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Dietetics and Positive Behaviour Support across community, clinic and telehealth settings.
Our values guide how we work every day: Progressive | Curious | Respectful | Collaborative | Informed | Purposeful Your Graduate Year at Avina Your first year as a Speech Pathologist should be about developing your clinical identity, building confidence and having people around you who you can turn to when you're still figuring things out.
Our 12-month Graduate Program provides a structured pathway from university into clinical practice, beginning with a 9-week onboarding and gradual caseload ramp-up.
You'll be supported through: A structured 9-week onboarding and gradual caseload ramp-up Initial shadowing with experienced clinicians Reverse shadowing and supported sessions as you transition into independent practice Regular discipline-specific clinical supervision Support from experienced Senior Speech Pathologists and clinical leaders Discipline-specific graduate learning and development Ongoing multidisciplinary learning throughout your graduate year Case consultation,
report review and clinical feedback Peer learning and connection with other graduates Communities of Practice and broader professional development opportunities Regular feedback opportunities to help us continue improving the Graduate Program What You'll Learn You'll have opportunities to build your capability across a diverse range of Speech Pathology practice areas depending on your location, caseload and interests, including: Speech and language assessment and intervention Social communication Functional communication AAC Mealtime management and swallowing Goal setting and intervention planning Working with children, adults and families NDIS documentation and report writing Clinical risk and safe practice Working collaboratively within an MDT What You'll Be Doing You'll deliver evidence-informed, person-centred Speech Pathology services across community, clinic, home, school and telehealth environments.
Your caseload will build gradually as your skills and confidence develop, with ongoing clinical support available throughout your graduate year.

We're looking for people who want to learn, ask questions and become outstanding clinicians.
