Large, complex enterprise transformation program Modernising critical government systems and services 3 year program of work A Key Federal Government agency is seeking multiple Cyber Security Specialists to support a major cyber security program contributing to a large-scale, high-impact 3-year modernisation program .
The successful Cyber Security Specialists will be engaged on an initial 12-month contract, with extension options , and flexible hybrid work arrangements based in Canberra.
The successful Cyber Security Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to: Conducting comprehensive risk assessments across IT systems, applications, and third-party vendors.
Evaluating and monitoring compliance with PSPF, ISM, Essential Eight, and international frameworks such as ISO ***** and NIST.
Developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to strengthen governance and compliance.
Supporting audits and certification processes, including IRAP assessments, and providing reports with actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
The successful Cyber Security Specialist will have experience in the following:



Demonstrated experience preparing ICT system authorisation documentation such as SRMPs, SSPs, and SOPs.
Strong technical experience across system administration, software development, or cloud computing.
In-depth knowledge of Australian Government cyber security standards, including PSPF and ISM.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or Identity Access Management.
