Zarama Air Conditioning and Mechanical Services Pty Ltd is a Western Australian business providing air conditioning and mechanical services.
Our work includes the installation of ductwork and associated components for air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems.
Due to our ongoing workload and business requirements, we are seeking an experienced Sheetmetal Worker to join our team on a full-time basis.
About the Role The Sheetmetal Worker will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing sheet metal products and components used in air conditioning, ductwork and mechanical ventilation systems The successful candidate will be responsible for: Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and specifications to determine job, material and equipment requirements.
Measuring and marking sheet metal according to specifications, using appropriate measuring instruments, templates and tools.
Selecting suitable sheet metal materials and checking dimensions, gauges and specifications prior to fabrication.
Cutting sheet metal using hand and power tools, shears, drills and other appropriate equipment.
Shaping, bending and forming sheet metal using folding and bending equipment and other fabrication tools.
Fabricating ductwork, fittings and other sheet metal components required for air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems.
Fitting and assembling sheet metal components using riveting, welding, soldering, brazing and other appropriate joining methods.




Installing fabricated ductwork and sheet metal components on site in accordance with plans and project specifications.
Inspecting completed components and installations to ensure they meet required dimensions, specifications and quality standards.
Repairing and replacing damaged sheet metal products, ductwork and associated components where required.
Finishing fabricated products by filing, grinding, sanding and cleaning to achieve the required finish.
Using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
Working collaboratively with air conditioning installers, technicians and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures and relevant industry standards.
Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas in a safe, clean and organised condition.
Qualifications and Skills: Must have a minimum of one year's relevant experience.
Practical experience in sheet metal fabrication, ductwork and/or air conditioning and mechanical ventilation installations; Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications; Experience using sheet metal fabrication tools, hand tools and power tools; Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements; Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship; Good communication and time-management skills; Rumuneration: This is a full-time position (minimum 38 hours per week), which offers salary ranging from $75,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation.
