Working across residential and commercial construction projects, the business is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and professional finishes for its clients.
Due to ongoing project requirements, we are seeking a skilled Wall and Floor Tiler to join their team on a full-time basis.
Position – Wall and Floor Tiler Location – Whyalla, South Australia **** Salary - $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation per annum Employment Type - Full-time, Permanent THE ROLE: This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable Wall and Floor Tiler to join a busy construction business working across a variety of residential and commercial projects.
You will be responsible for preparing surfaces and accurately laying, cutting and finishing a range of tiles while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high professional standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: · Examine plans and accurately measure and mark wall and floor surfaces prior to commencing tiling work.
· Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing existing tiles, grout, adhesives and other materials as required.
· Clean, fill and level surfaces to provide suitable and even foundations for tiling.
· Apply adhesives evenly to prepared surfaces and position tiles accurately and securely.
· Cut and shape tiles around edges, corners, pipes, fittings and other obstacles as required.




· Ensure correct alignment, spacing and positioning of tiles throughout each project.
· Apply grout between tiles, remove excess material and complete finishing work to a high skilled standard.
· Apply waterproofing systems to floors, walls and wet areas in accordance with project requirements.
· Install a variety of tiling materials, including ceramic, slate, marble and mosaic tiles.
· Lay decorative patterns and mosaics in accordance with plans, specifications and client requirements.
· Operate specialised tiling tools and equipment safely and effectively when cutting, shaping and installing tiles.
· Work collaboratively with builders and other trades to coordinate work and ensure project deadlines are achieved.
· Maintain consistently high standards of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail.
· Follow workplace health and safety requirements and maintain clean, organised and safe work areas.
· Communicate professionally with clients and other stakeholders to ensure tiling requirements are understood and high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:



· Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or at least three years of relevant experience to substitute the formal qualifications · Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience working as a Wall and Floor Tiler tiling across a variety of materials and surface types.
· Proven ability to prepare, cut, lay, grout and finish tiles to a high professional standard.
· Experience working with a range of tiling materials, including ceramic, slate, marble and mosaics.
· Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques and the correct application of adhesives and waterproofing systems.
· Competence in reading and interpreting building plans and drawings and undertaking accurate measurements.
· Ability to use relevant tiling tools, cutting equipment and materials safely and effectively.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining efficient and high-quality standards.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering professional finishes.
· Commitment to workplace safety, reliability and delivering quality outcomes across residential and commercial projects.
· Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to maintain positive client relationships.
WHAT IS ON OFFER: · A competitive salary of $75,000 to $85,000 (dependant on experience) plus superannuation per annum.
