About the Role
As a Chef @ MHS you will:
* Plan, prepare and serve a menu of nutritious meals which are appropriate to a variety of age groups and health status.
* Assist to plan, develop and provide a menu on a weekly basis in accordance with current Food Safety regulations and Moyne Health Services' Food Safety Plan.
* Supervise and support staff in the provision of meals to residents, patients, staff, community members and volunteers.
* Ensure the cleaning of equipment, kitchen and storage areas is undertaken according to cleaning schedule.
* Maintain the kitchen workplace and equipment in a safe and hygienic manner in accordance with Food Safety regulations, reporting any issues to the Head Chef.
* Assist in keeping accurate records including purchase orders, supplier invoices, Meals on Wheels documentation and routine updates.
About You
Minimum qualifications
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* Food Handler (Basic) HLTFS7B
* Folllowing Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate
Key Selection Criteria
* Experience in food preparation and presentation of meals
* Experience in staff supervision in a food preparation/service situation
* Excellent communication skills
* Enthusastic and self motivated
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks
* Ability to manage workloads in an allotted timeframe
* Ability to demonstrate flexibility and initiative

Moyne Health Services is a public, not for profit, integrated healthcare service that helps meet community healthcare needs in Port Fairy and surrounding districts in the Moyne Shire.
Employing more than 200 people, MHS operates a 12 bed acute hospital, 2 Aged Care Residences with a total of 82 beds,
primary and community care services, social support group programs and Allied Health Services.
