Senior Executive Office Advisor $137,963 per annum + 12% superannuation Full time, fixed term opportunity until October **** Wadawurrung/Geelong based role (hybrid work from home – 3 days a week in office) About the opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Executive Office Adviser to join the Office of the Chief Health and Safety Officer for a parental leave backfill until 31 October ****.
Reporting to the Executive Officer, Health and Safety, you will provide high-level strategic and operational advice and support the delivery of priorities across the Health and Safety Business Unit.
You will analyse complex information, prepare high-quality briefs and reporting materials, and provide advice on policy, governance, reputational and political issues.
You will also help coordinate WorkSafe's parliamentary responsibilities and lead selected strategic and cross-functional projects, including work associated with policy, legislative and regulatory change.
Working closely with senior leaders and internal and external stakeholders, you will anticipate emerging issues, manage risks, and support timely, well-informed decision-making.

Key accountabilities: Provide strategic and operational advice to the Executive Officer, Chief Health and Safety Officer and Health and Safety Senior Leadership Team Analyse complex information and prepare accurate, clear and timely briefs, reports, presentations, and communication materials.
Coordinate Health and Safety's contribution to parliamentary matters, including Public Accounts and Estimates Committee requirements, possible parliamentary questions, and questions on notice.
Coordinate and prepare Chief Executive and ministerial briefs, correspondence, reports and internal and external communications.
Engage and collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues through consultation and negotiation.
Anticipate and manage policy, governance, reputational and political issues,
risks and opportunities Support the delivery and implementation of policy, legislative, regulatory and statutory reform initiatives.
Lead selected strategic and cross-functional projects across the Health and Safety Business Unit Ensure the Chief Health and Safety Officer and senior leaders are appropriately briefed and prepared for internal and external meetings.

About you You are a strategic thinker with sound judgement and the ability to work through complex and sensitive issues.
You can identify what matters, develop clear recommendations and communicate with confidence at senior levels.
You are highly organised and comfortable managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
You build trusted relationships, work collaboratively and maintain a high level of discretion and attention to detail.
You will also bring: Demonstrated experience providing strategic and authoritative advice in a complex operating environment.
The ability to analyse and interpret complex information, apply significant judgement and develop practical solutions.
Experience delivering strategic and cross-functional projects, ideally including legislative, regulatory or policy reform.
Strong project management skills and experience applying appropriate project management methods and frameworks.
Demonstrated experience consulting, negotiating and influencing senior stakeholders to resolve complex issues and achieve outcomes.
Strong research and analytical skills, with experience producing accurate and complex briefs, reports and other executive materials.
An understanding of public sector governance,
parliamentary and ministerial processes or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge.
Exceptional formal written and verbal communication skills Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills The ability to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously with limited guidance.
