We are seeking an experienced, hands on Head of Finance to lead the finance function and play a central role in the commercial direction of the business.
About The Role
You will lead a small, highly experienced finance team, take ownership of all financial reporting and analysis, and act as a genuine business partner to the leadership team on the big picture decisions shaping the company's growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and presenting monthly board reporting to VC and investor stakeholders
Consolidating financial reporting across multiple business entities
Overseeing costing and product costing, including raw materials, cost of goods and inventory holding
Deliver budgeting, forecasting, reporting and commercial analysis
Managing multi-currency, multi-customer forecasting across a largely international customer base
Utilising AI tools and platforms to enhance forecasting, stock planning and reporting efficiency
Drive improvements across processes, controls, reporting and automation
Providing commercial support on supplier negotiations, capital investment and growth initiatives
About You
To succeed in this role you will bring proven, hands on experience in a similar consumer goods environment, ideally retail, beauty, fashion or a closely aligned industry.
CA/CPA qualified
Prior experience in a Head of Finance, or similar senior finance role within a consumer goods, retail, beauty, fashion or manufacturing business
Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting board reports, ideally gained within a VC backed, private equity backed, or listed business environment
Strong technical accounting and reporting skills, with the ability to consolidate reporting across multiple entities
Direct experience with inventory builds, product costing, bills of materials and manufacturing cost structures
High AI literacy and comfort adopting recent technology and reporting tools
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage in commercial discussions with international investors and stakeholders
The maturity and commercial acumen to operate at a senior level, balancing detail with big picture thinking
