Our client is one of Sydney's most regarded specialist family law boutiques, operating exclusively in family law with a team of 7 NSW Law Society Accredited Specialists.
The firm has been listed in Doyle's Guide for Family Law every year since ****, reflecting consistent recognition from peers, referrers and clients. Their work spans complex property settlements involving high-net-worth clients with trust and corporate structures, contested parenting matters, binding financial agreements, spousal maintenance, and domestic violence proceedings.
Salary and Features of the Position:
Salary $150,000–$180,000 depending on experience, negotiable for the right candidate
One WFH day per week
Sydney CBD location — Beautiful Castlereagh Street locaiton

The Position:
As Senior Associate, you will carry a caseload of complex family law matters with a high degree of autonomy, lead your own client relationships from instruction to resolution,



and provide supervision and mentoring to junior members of the team. You will appear regularly in the Federal Circuit and Family Court, including in complex contested property and parenting matters.
You will work directly alongside the principal and Accredited Specialists, contributing to the strategic direction of files and the culture of a specialist team that punches well above its headcount. There is genuine scope for progression to principal level for the right candidate.
Requirements:
Admitted practitioner with 5+ years PAE in family law
Solid background in a reputable family law practice — boutique specialist, BigLaw family team, or specialist family court firm
Strong litigation and court advocacy experience — you are comfortable running hearings and contested matters independently
Experience with high-asset property matters, including trust and company structures, is highly regarded
NSW Law Society Accreditation in Family Law, or substantive progress toward it, is advantageous
NSW practising certificate (or willingness to obtain)
$150K-$180K + salary, 1 WFH day per week, explicit trajectory toward partnership
