Our award-winning team underwrites a comprehensive range of transaction liability insurance products, including representations and warranties (R&W;) insurance, warranty and indemnity (W&I;) insurance, tax insurance and contingent liability insurance.
n
As a Transaction Liability Underwriter, it's pivotal that you can review the legal, tax, financial and other risks associated with a corporate transaction in a wide array of sectors. You will be successfully quoting, project-managing and underwriting representation and warranty insurance policies in connection with M&A; transactions, and your commercial experience will help you to build strong relationships with lawyers, bankers and brokers - winning new business, structuring and negotiating bespoke insurance policies

About the role
n
n
Quote, project manage and underwrite representation and warranty insurance policies in connection with M&A; transactions.
n
Structure and negotiate bespoke insurance policies with lawyers and brokers domestically and abroad.
n
Win new business and build strong working relationships with key lawyers, bankers, and brokers, as well as proactively seeking out opportunities to drive new business within TL.
n
Effectively assess and price risks considering factors such as business sector, deal structure, jurisdiction and indemnification obligations in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
n
Build and develop positive working relationships with brokers, clients, lawyers and other key stakeholders involved in the M&A; process.
n
Work with the [TL/PL] and Marketing team to contribute to as required to TL marketing content,



materials, campaigns, and assisting with relevant communications as required.
n
Attend relevant meetings, networking, and hosted events to build a solid broker network.
n
Identify and highlight cross sell opportunities considering CFC's other lines of business
n
Help ensure that underwriting policies, processes, and guidelines are adhered to by junior and new team members, to meet all compliance, regulatory and binder requirements.
n
Identify development needs in the team, and provide coaching, buddying, and technical training to more junior and new team members.

About you

In this new role we are looking to hire an innovative, motivated M&A; professional with a strong interest in business and commerce, a commercial approach to risk assessment and sharp decision-making skills.
n
You will build robust relationships with lawyers, bankers and brokers - winning new business, structuring and negotiating bespoke insurance policies.
n
Your specialist knowledge will be key in successfully quoting, project-managing and underwriting representation and warranty insurance policies in connection with M&A; transactions
n
You'll be able to effectively assess and price risks considering factors such as business sector, deal structure, jurisdiction and indemnification obligations in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
