Exciting Career Opportunity: Payroll Specialist
n
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for full-function payroll delivery, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing across the employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
n
n
End-to-end payroll processing
n
Managing contract updates, new starters, and terminations
n
Ensuring compliance with relevant tax, superannuation, and award obligations
n
Providing advice to employees on pay, policy updates, and entitlements
n
Performing quality control checks and supporting internal audits
n
Attending legislative training and maintaining payroll compliance knowledge
n
Supporting documentation, filing, and reporting functions
n
n
The Candidate:
n
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical payroll expertise and a team-oriented,



proactive approach. You will have:
n
n
At least 4-5 years' experience in payroll, ideally in a mid-sized or complex organisation
n
Strong knowledge of Modern Awards, tax and super obligations, and payroll legislation
n
Proficiency in Excel and payroll/accounting systems
n
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
n
The ability to work independently and contribute as part of a wider team
n
n
