Lower Plenty Hotel is looking for a qualified and experienced Chef De-Partie to join our business on a full-time basis. Salary on offer is from $79,499 plus super, should you meet the above criteria.

In this role, you will assist in overseeing kitchen operations and working with other team members in running an busy and fast pace kitchen.
n
To be considered for this position, you must-:

n
have previous experience in the industry or in a similar role (at least 2 years)
n
Have relevant qualifications or skills
n
be self-motivated, creative, confident and enthusiastic
n
be a team player
n
n
The Role consists of:
n
n
Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning and costing,
n
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and food preparation equipment,
n
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking,
n




Prepare consistently high-quality menu items according to standard recipes, utilising provided techniques and presenting to the defined portion size and presentation standard,
n
Prepare, cook and serve a variety of menu items including meat, vegetables, sauces, soups and other dishes according to the venue menu,
n
Adheres to food production standards including food handling, cooking, housekeeping, sanitation, safety and hygiene HACCP,
n
Proactively adheres and initiates current and improved waste management initiatives,
n
Provide direction and guidance to Apprentice Chef and/or Kitchen Attendants,
n
Ensure the correct storage and rotation of stock.
