A South Eastern QLD hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in Emergency Medicine from 17/08/2026 to 01/02/2027.

Responsibilities and Requirements
n
n
Post Graduate Year 3+ and comfortable working night shifts as solo night with standby support from SMOs (non‐negotiable).
n
Mixed roster - Emergency and Inpatient/General Medical 9.5‐hour shifts – day, evening, and night shifts.
n
Rural experience advantageous but not essential.
n
n
Supervision
n
n
Onsite supervision by SMO.
n
Nights will include remote supervision by a SMO in town, via phone.
n
n
Travel and Accommodation
n
n
Accommodation will be provided, either onsite or motel.
n




Economy travel to/from locum's hometown airport and return.
n
Access to car hire or fleet vehicle.
n
n
The rate is $*******/day.

Located in the South Burnett region of Queensland 218 km north west of Brisbane, this rural town is known as the peanut capital of Australia and has approximately 10,000 residents.
n
This hospital is a 52‐bed facility and offers services including emergency, outpatient, surgical, pathology and maternity.
