Job Description
A global technology provideer is seeking an experienced IP Network Engineer to support large-scale network transformation and modernisation projects across the region. This is a rolling 6-month contract offering exposure to complex, carrier-grade environments and next-generation network technologies.

The role is highly customer-facing and sits across engineering, delivery, and pre-sales support. You will play a key part in designing, upgrading, and optimising live networks while acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Designing and delivering network modernisation projects across in-service and greenfield environments
n
Implementing complex upgrades and reconfigurations on live production networks
n
Working on multi-vendor environments with a strong focus on Ciena platforms
n
Acting as the primary technical interface for customers during deployment, testing, and optimisation
n




Developing and owning engineering procedures for upgrades, migrations, and audits
n
Supporting network turn-up, testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation
n
Collaborating with sales, product, and engineering teams on service and delivery engagements
n
Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to engineering best practices
n

Requirements
n
n
Strong experience in carrier-grade or large enterprise networking environments
n
Hands-on experience working with Ciena network equipment in live networks
n
Deep knowledge of IP/MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, BGP/IGP, EVPN and contemporary network architectures
n
Confident communicator able to operate in customer-facing environments
n
Comfortable working across Linux/UNIX-based systems and network management tools
n
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
