Could be a fixed term contract or would take someone relocating for the role Great opportunity to join a head contractor with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects. Must have experience in large scale SMP (Structural, Mechanical, Piping), Technical Facilities, Heavy Industry, Industrial Facilities, Processing Facilities etc.

A market leading head contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join their growing business in Newcastle.
n
As Senior / Project Manager, you will need to have strong front end design experience, commercial acumen, contracts management, design management, OHS, programming / planning experience as well as running meetings with consultants and subcontractors to provide a high-quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded. Will also need to be able to manage a team of site professionals.
n
Having previous experience delivering new build large scale technical, processing, heavy industry or industrial facilities with a lot of SMP, welding and pipework is highly compliant environments is highly regarded. ASAP start for the right candidate.

Candidate can be on a fixed term contract for circa 2yrs. Years of experience: 10 to 20 years +

Responsibilities

Design comprehensive project programmes and communicate to team
n
Project delivery from inception through to completion
n
Ensure construction programmes are followed & deliver on project quality to programme
n
Identify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when required
n
Manage project expenditure and cash flow
n
Management and achievement of external engineering design aspects of projects
n
Design management
n
Manage subcontractors on site
n
Manage and maintain HSEQ requirements on the project
n
Produce progress reports
n
Deliver and manage client expectations
n
Recruitment of teams and managing teams
n
n
Qualifications and Requirements
n
n
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
n
Minimum ******* years+ experience in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish ideally from a Tier 1 or 2 or 3 background
n
Proven leadership ability in building and inspiring teams to deliver high quality projects
n
Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards
n
Strong planning and project financial reporting skills
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Well-developed interpersonal skills
n
Experience with Microsoft Office suite
n
Construction Safety Induction (white) card
n
