As the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) of the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) at Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a dedicated team delivering high-quality care to patients recovering from anaesthesia and surgery. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the unit, leading workforce development, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and ensuring the delivery of patient-centred, evidence-based care. Working closely with perioperative and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in service planning, resource management and achieving clinical and organisational objectives. This permanent full-time position presents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced nursing leader who is passionate about staff engagement, innovation and excellence in perioperative services

is the main referral hospital for the , providing emergency care, medical, surgical, mental health and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on ventilated, high dependency and coronary patients, Children's Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre.

The hospital is currently undergoing a significant $440M redevelopment that will redefine how healthcare is delivered within the Region. Once complete in 2026, the new seven-storey Acute Services Building and refurbishments on the current hospital site will bring a focus on career development.
