The Opioid Treatment Program is a community-based, multidisciplinary Drug and Alcohol service that provides medically assisted treatment to individuals affected by opioid dependence.

Where you'll be working

What you'll be doing
You will care for individuals requiring treatment for opioid dependence by administering medications including oral dosing,



or sub-cutaneous depot injections; screening for blood borne viruses and assisting treatment regimens; assist with health promotions including immunisations; participating in research specific to Drug and Alcohol services; and working with a multidisciplinary service to support the needs of a growing cohort of people affected by impaired control over opioid use. You will be supported by the NUM, CNE, and Nurse Manager throughout the service. Continuing Professional Development and ongoing educational opportunities are highly supported throughout the service, including tertiary level education.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills in the provision of treatment to people with substance dependence.
- High level multidisciplinary teamwork with internal and external care providers
